We don't have a lot of extra money right now with Jay's hours being cut back at work and the new baby on the way, so I decided Annelise and I were going to just have to make him a Father's Day gift. Keep in mind, we're not exactly crafty Martha Stewart type women over here and our supplies were limited to a few pieces of card-stock, some tape, glue, and a black ink pen. I'll also bake him some chocolate chip cookies, but I'll wait until tomorrow so they'll be fresh and warm for him.
I let Annelise draw and decorate it all she wanted (and tried to help her write inside), then I helped her glue on the extra bits and I wrote him a long note thanking him for everything he does and glued it to the other side.
It's more colorful and cute that it looks here... I just grabbed my videocam and took these real quick so the color is really off. Like reallyreally off... considering the inside paper is actually light blue...
I couldn't be more proud of the father he's become. I'm so lucky to share a family with him.
